If you are alone in the city and want to meet some people and feel good and not alone - then this is a good place to start. People are nice here, people want to make conversations, people laugh and you can drink a lot for nothing.

Any other place with such a sardine packed interior would normally invite elbow-against-ribs frustration. Somehow Huxley’s manages to pull it off in style, the seats and stools as snug as the drinks are cheap. Their motto reads: Shut up, just drink! - Which pretty much sums it up.

It shows up the nearby venues as the pretentious wannabes they really are. Cheap drinks and loud, varied music mean that Huxley's is best enjoyed with a group of mates - go alone and you’ll meet plenty in there.

Thursday nights are all you can drink for 50 RMB so this is definitely a place for those travelling on a shoe-string.
