Little Donkey Farm, located at Shajian Village, northwest of Haidian District is the first community support agriculture (CSA) farm in Beijing. All the vegetables planted here are cultivated via organic processes.

Basically, there are two kinds of clients. The first is distribution share. For instance, the farm will be in charge of distributing organic vegetables to a family of three people for at least 25 weeks according to the contract from mid-May to mid-November. Clients pay 2,400 Yuan in advance. The second is labor share. For example, every client can obtain a land covering an area of 30 square meters and the farmer will be in charge of teaching. What’s more, the farm will offer 300 jin (500g) of organic fertilizer and seeds. Clients pay 1,500 Yuan annual rent in advance.

Driving Route: Drive towards the west from Beiqing Road turn towards to the north at Wenyang crossroad. Drive alongside Wenyang Road heading to the north for 2 km, then turn left at Liulin crossroad, Sujiatuo Town. Keep driving towards west for around 1 km, and the destination will be around the corner.

Bus Line: Take Bus No. 651 at Xizhimen Station and get off at Liulin Village Station or take Bus No. 968, 330, 642 and get off at Xixiaoying Station or transfer to Bus No. 651 and get off at Liulin Village Station.
