Vespa, owned by Italy’s Piaggio Group, has recently opened its first China flagship store in Beijing. The company is known for its quality Italian-made motor scooters that are both economical and stylish. They’ve been a mainstay of pop culture in movies and are popular in metropolitan cities around the world like Rome, Paris and New York.
The Vespa store is located next door to FHL Motors (they specialize in Kawasaki, Alpinestars, and more) and is down the street from the Harley-Davidson dealer on Dongfeng South Rd, just east ofChaoyang Parkand the East 4th Ring Road. The company hopes to introduce and revolutionize the way Chinese consumers perceive these 2-wheel motor vehicles as something that can invoke individual freedom for both leisure driving and urban commuting.

Vespa scooters are known for their attention to detail, quality, technology, and most of all fashionable looks. Their motors emit low emissions and have excellent fuel economy, meeting China’s demand for environmental protection. Beijing is relatively motorcycle and motor scooter-friendly, as other big cities in China have all but outlawed 2-wheel motor vehicles. Vespa scooters are highly customizable in colors and accessories, allowing customers to have a unique product. Since 1946, Vespa’s 68 years of existence have produced over 150 different models, with many original classics still in use and popular around the world.
