Beijing is hailed as the cultural Mecca of China, with countless treasures and historical sites waiting for visitors to discover. You could easily spend days exploring the city without running out of things to see, do and explore!

One of the top things to do in Beijing – heading to Sanlitun with a night out. Located in the eastern part of Chaoyang District, now known as Sanlitun bar street, it is well worth enjoying a night out there. Sanlitun Bar Street is one of the most famous entertainment destinations in Beijing, many foreigners and domestic celebrities frequent the nightlife spot. Every night, Sanlitun is a scene for carousing it is silhouetted against metropolitan bustle and luxury. Sanlitun bar street has a heady atmosphere and a visit at night can be quite dizzying. Sitting next to the embassy district, many foreigners hang out here from every afternoon to the early hours. They drive a car or take a taxi to get here every day, especially at night. Sanlitun bar street has become the favorite haunt of urban white-collar workers and new comers.

One of the fun things to do in Beijing – head to Nanluoguxiang for sightseeing and history. Nanluogu Lane is located in Beijing’s Dongcheng District, and is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Beijing, with the most complete and untouched courtyard dwellings. Nanluogu Lane is about 800 meters long from north to south with 8 alleys lined up the street. Jam-packed with the Ming and Qing Dynasties’ princely mansions, Nanluogu Lane survived widespread Hutong demolition. In recent years, people have had great foresight and vision to see business opportunities, rent properties and set up shop in this street. Nanluogu Lane is a bar street, unlike Sanlitun, Houhai, Nanluogu Lane bars are relatively quiet, harmonious, natural, far away from the noise and closer to the everyday lives of native Beijingers.

One of the best things to do in Beijing – go to Houhai to see the night scenes of Beijing. Since the Yuan Dynasty Houhai has been a bustling commercial district, known as “Beijing’s ancient harbor”. Many of the buildings located here in embody the typical features of traditional architecture in Beijing. Many of the old alleys and courtyards are popular with visitors. Weeping willows frame the former mansions and residences of Beijing’s illustrious nobility such as Prince Gong’s Mansion, the former residence of Song Qingling, the former residence of Guo Moruo. Houhai enjoys a good reputation as a summer retreat in the heart of the city.
