Liu Sifen was born in Shaxi County, Zhongshan city, Guangdong Province in January 1944. After his graduation from the Department of Chinese Literature of Sun Yat-sen University in 1967, he has been engaged in publicity and culture for a long period of time. He has been praised as one of the representatives of contemporary literati painting. More than 50 of his masterpieces are displayed in this exhibition, including his main writings, figure paintings featuring in ancient and modern world, landscape paintings and poems.
He is a versatile artist with extraordinary achievements in the fields of fiction creation, academic research, art and calligraphy. His historical novel Bai Menliu won the fourth Maodun Literature Award. Besides, tens of academic works written by him have been published.

In Liu’s paintings, talents, self cultivation, character and passion are stressed while the aesthetic ideality of the Chinese nation and originality are combined and intensive self-image is represented.
