Garfield is an American comic strip created by Jim Davis. The protagonist is an orange cat named Garfield that likes to eat human food. Other protagonists include a less-intelligent yellow dog named Oddie and their master Jon Arbuckle. The name comes from Jim Davis’s great-father James Garfield Davis. Garfield has won the audiences’ affection since the very beginning. It is one of the most successful comic characters of all time.
