The U-Town shopping center is a 6-story shopping mall in the city center of Beijing, not far from the foreign embassy district. This mall has the standard collection of stores like Uniqlo, H&M, and Zara, but excels in having other brands not normally found as well as a great collection of restaurants. The food and dining experience here is excellent and we’ll talk about it some more below.
Getting to U-Town is not too difficult. It’s located just south of Chaoyangmenwai Dajie, just northwest ofRitan Park, and about a five minute walk away from the Chaoyangmen station of Beijing Subway Line 2 and 6. Its Chinese name is You Tang (悠唐) and should be familiar with many locals.
Besides the impressive amount of stores here, U-Town is an excellent culinary destination. Inside the mall are located some of the highest rated chains of restaurants in Beijing, so coming here for a meal should yield in a great meal for just about everyone. For those who want a taste of American food, there is a Burger King, popular Blue Frog, and Haagen Dazs on the ground floor. Upstairs on the fourth through sixth floors, there is a sushi restaurant, Hong Kong cuisine, Zhejiang cuisine at Green Tea restaurant, Shanghai cuisine, Thai cuisine at Tuk Tuk Thai restaurant, and many more.
