Chaoyang Park South for Kids

2013-12-03

Chaoyang Park, translated to Sun Park in Chinese, is a huge green space located nearSanlitunin Chaoyang District that has something for everyone. This 288-hectare park is massive, having the Solana Mall to the west, an outdoor swimming pool and beach to the east, a lake, and an amusement park in the south that we’ll introduce more of.

Chaoyang Park is definitely kid-friendly, but the amusement park in the south area of the park is a massive hit, attracting huge crowds on weekends. Inside the amusement park, you can find roller coasters, slides, games, and other rides for both kids and adults. There is a tall ride that lifts you high up to the sky and even a classic carousel ride for those who seek less thrills. Throughout the park, you can find carnival games and has plenty of open space for visitors to come fly their kites.

When you arrive at the amusement park, prepare to pay for the entrance fee and about 15-30 RMB for each ride. Food and drinks are widely available, along with treats like cotton candy and ice cream. A word of advice is to bring lots of cash. You can end up riding a few rides and playing some carnival games, so you won’t want to be caught cashless when you purchases tickets. Also inside the amusement park, there is a Lego Store that children will want to check out. There are many activities, so make time to see it for yourself.
