Owl City’s "The Midsummer Station World Tour" makes a stop at the Mastercard Center-ThinkPad Space for an exclusive one-night-only performance.

A master of what has been described as synthpop or indielectronica, Owl City will make its triumphant return to Mainland China organized by Xinghui Organization (HK), at the ThinkPad Space, the intimate 2,000-capacity theater at Beijing's MasterCard Center on August 21, 2013. Formed in 2007 by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Young, the multi-platinum-selling Owl City is considered an electronic musical project at the top of its field. Owl City is the brainchild of singer-songwriter-instrumentalist Adam Young. The only child of a mechanic and a schoolteacher, Young began creating melodies and beats on his laptop as a way to combat insomnia. While working as a truck loader in his hometown of Owatonna, Minnesota in 2007, Young began uploading the songs recorded in his parents’ basement onto social networking site MySpace. Under the name Owl City, Young quickly gained a nascent fan base that he grew through an active and responsive web presence, and when Young expanded his song distribution into iTunes, Owl City became a viral phenomenon. Young eventually self-released an EP (Of June in 2007) and an album (Maybe I’m Dreaming in 2008), both of which reached the Top 20 on Billboard’s Electronic Albums chart.
Owl City is grouped by Adam Young (lead vocals, piano, synthesizer), touring band members Breanne Düren (keyboards, backing vocals), Daniel Jorgensen (guitar, vibraphone, bass), Jasper Nephew (guitar) and Gabriel Hagen (drums).
