Die Entführung aus dem Serail (K. 384; The Abduction from the Seraglio; also known as Il Seraglio) is an opera Singspiel in three acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The German libretto is by Christoph Friedrich Bretzner with adaptations by Gottlieb Stephanie. It is the first successful comedy of Mozart from all aspects. The libretto shows the characters of the Age of Enlightenment and humanistic. And all characters in the opera are alive with their personalities. Mozart married Constanze after opera's debut, and his wife's name is the same as the heroine of the opera.

It was fashionable in that time to set the background of stories in the eastern country Turkey. With Triangle, brass cymbals and piccolo, Mozart built an exotic atmosphere. He also used all techniques of his time to create his own music style.
