Not quite the McDonald's of tea, but at last count there were 26 branches in Beijing. This storeis the largest. Their jasmine tea (hua cha) is excellent.

Over a hundred years old and considered a laozihao (time-honored business), Wuyutai hasexpanded to include multiple locations. Not as cheap as the Tea Street Market but the tea

leaves are fresh and great quality and the jasmine tea is excellent.

For tea lovers everywhere, Beijing's wholesale tea market’s 900 plus stalls are testament to justhow much tea there is in China. From jasmine to erlong, green tea to the expensive pu’er, andeverything in between, there’s almost too much choice. However, vendors help out by invitingyou to sit down and have a taste beforehand and the pace is relaxed without any pressure tobuy. Tea sets, demonstrations of the tea ceremony and even tea flavored dumplings can alsobe found.
