As part of the 2013 JUE Festival, Canadian electro musician Grimes perform at Beijing’s MAO Livehouse on March 21. Hailing from Vancouver, Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, employs an eclectic mix of music styles ranging from indie, experimental, and R&B. Critics have drawn comparisons with the likes of Bjork, Aphex Twin and even Abba, as her often indefinable style frequently shifts and goes through various artistic phases. Her 2012 album “Visions” aroused the attention of many major music publications and critics, and threw her into the mainstream spotlight.
