Haidian Park is located to the northwest of Wanquanhe Bridge at the northwest part of the 4th Ring Road, reaching Wanquanhe Road in the east, Liulangzhuang Road in the west, West 4th Ring Road in the south, and Xinjiangongmen Road in the north.

It contains many royal garden relics such as Changchun Garden, Xihua Garden, and the Quan Temple, etc. The park covers an area of about 40 hectares, of which, over 30 are green land and 3.3 are waters. A variety of plants have been growing here such as Ailanthus altissima, Acacia, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, and Ginkgo, etc.
The main sights include the Grand Meadow, the Paddy Field, Cultural Plaza, Water Land, Garden in Water, the Pedestrian Square in the North Axis, and the Big Lake. The 30,000 m2 Grand Meadow is the largest open meadow in Beijing. It is an ideal place for taking walks, sight viewing, and holding activities.
