Yanqing County is not only beautiful but also well known for its Gui River. Near the Gui River are the images of beautiful scenic lakes. The Golden Ox Lake, which has a lot of misty water, is like a dragon head leading the Gui River to go West.
The winding riving river has been protected by environmentalists in recent years. The most attractive thing to do here, is to simply allow your mind to drift on or to meditate when you go to the Gui River. Along the river, you can see the Golden Ox Mountains, the Hot Spring Mouth, Guanying Bay and the Dihua beach from a distance.
The Gui River rises in the Songshan Natural Protection Zone which is surrounded by a mountainous area. The winding river goes out from the Longqing Gorge and turns west at the Golden Ox Mountain. It then goes into the Guanting Lake after passing over the Kangxi Grasslands. From there, it flows over 50km.The area is a historic area that has been highly recommended in successive dynasties. Dating all the way back to 1,500 years ago, a remarkable historian in the North Wei Dynasty went to the Gui River to inspect the story himself. From there, he wrote a great piece of work about the Gui River. The emperors of the Jin and Yuan Dynasty both lingered here and reluctantly went back time and time again for the gorgeous views. It had already been a tourism resort during the Ming and Qing Dynasty, and theGui River was one of the top of eight scenes of the Yanqing county.

Yanqing is not only beautiful because of the Gui River. It also has two lakes. At its upstream, one can easily find the Golden Ox Lake, which has a wide expansion of misty waters. It sits like a dragon head leading the Gui River to the West. While at its downstream, you can find the Lotus Lake, which sits like a dragon tail instead. From a distance, the Gui River looks like a dragon playing among a sheet of green forests linking two lakes to each other. The winding river has been protected as of late and still maintains its tranquil, natural environment.
Tip: The best thing to do when you arrive here is to take a small boat, with a friend, and simply drift along Gui River. As you go upstream, you'll find yourself enjoying the wonderful resort. No matter how fast or slow you go, it's up to you. We're almost sure that you'll be able to wind down in such a peacful environment.
