Located close to the infamous Houhai area, this tennis complex hides on the quiet campus of Shichahai Sports School. Tennis balls and rackets are available for rent while changing rooms and showers are provided free of charge. Other sports courts, such as badminton and ping-pong, can be found as well. Just be aware that strong Mandarin skills or a translator are needed to make the most out of your time here. But at least there’s a shop in the building to get water and snacks, so you won’t go thirsty.

About the Courts:

Upon arrival to the Shichahai sports school tennis hall, one can expect to find indoor and outdoor tennis courts, which were both made for professional training. This place still has that new car smell – the indoor courts here recently opened.

Most of the facilities here are, in fact, in great condition. With hard surfacing and decent lighting, the cost for using them is a lot higher than signing up for an expensive gym in the city.
