From October 10 onwards, non-native Beijingers will be allowed to start renting public bicycles in Dongcheng and Chaoyang District. Short-term residents need to show their passports, a Yikatong transport card and pay a deposit of 400 RMB ( a minimum of 30 RMB credit must be added to the card) to obtain a bike rental card. Long-term residents need to show their passport and temporary residence card as well as pay a deposit of 200 RMB.

Both types of residents need to sign a contract when applying for the rental cards and deposits will be returned upon handing back the bike. There are currently four spots for obtaining cards in Dongcheng and Chaoyang District. In Dongcheng, these are located at exit A2 of Tiantan Dongmen station on Line 5 and exit A of Dongzhimen station on Line 2. In Chaoyang District, the two spots are located at exit A of Chaoyangmen station on Line 2 and at Beisanli Community in Sanlitun, listed below.
