Beijing’s Guoan Football Club (which in simplified Chinese reads as: 北京国安) is a professional Chinese football club that currently participates in the Chinese Super League. It is part of the CITIC Group (China International Trust and Investment Corporation). They play their home games at the Workers Stadium stadium or the Fengtai stadium is sometimes used for less popular games. Their current head coach is Jaime Pacheco and the club's general manager is Gao Chao.
The club's predecessor was called the Beijing Football Club and they played in the top tier, where they won several domestic league and cup titles. In 1992, the club was reorganized to become a completely professional football Club and like Shandong Luneng Chinese state-owned enterprises, which have a significant holding place within the club. Its main source of investment since its inception, the CITIC Guoan Group, is a Shanghai (SSE: 600084) and Shenzhen (SZSE: 000839) listed state-owned enterprise. Also, Chinese governmental departments such as the Beijing Sports Bureau have made subsidies to the club on several occasions, the most recent being for 20 million RMB, announced in January 2009
