We’re now well into summer and it’s time to bust out those bikinis and hit the beach. Swimsuits can be difficult to find in this landlocked city, but we’ve scoured Beijing to find the best places to find the perfect swimsuit for your summer activities.

American Eagle at Solana has a great collection of swimwear this season. Bright colors on pushup bikini tops paired with string-tied bottoms will make you stand out in any poolside setting. AE has a range of basic swimsuits at affordable prices if you’re looking for a little black piece to don this season. Tops and bottoms are priced at RMB199 each in store, but orders placed online can also be delivered to China and might be slightly cheaper (excluding shipping costs), making AE one of the more affordable options. And while the store at Solana does not stock men’s swimwear, they do have options available online.

A hidden gem you might not know about is Oysho, also at Solana. Under the same umbrella as ZARA, this lingerie boutique carries an excellent array of swimsuits to help you stay stylish on the beach. Here you can find great bikinis in both floral prints and solids that aren’t too padded. It’s also easy on the budget with tops for RMB189 and bottoms for RMB159.

If you’re willing to spend a little more, Quiksilver in the basement of The Village boasts brightly colored bikinis and a wide selection of men’s board shorts. Their creative two pieces come in unique patterns, and the men’s board shorts are sure to satisfy any guy’s need for beach apparel. Bikini sets sell for RMB638, and board shorts are RMB498.

For the more athletically-inclined, check out Tianyuan Lisheng in Wangfujing. This gigantic sports outlet has a sizable swimsuit department on the second floor with a range of swimsuits for men and women. As a sporting goods store, it mostly features racing-type one-pieces for women but carries both trunks and briefs for men. Some of the notable brands Tianyuan Lisheng carries are Hosa, Speedo, Arena and Lukka, but as they’re legitimate brand names, don’t forget your wallet because these swimsuits range from RMB150-800.
