If you are heading for one of Beijing's most famous markets, Panjiayuan Shichang (The Dirt Market) why not make a day of the trip and visit Beijing's Curio City. Its only a short distance along the east side of the South Third Ring Road past Panjiayuan. Or take time out to order a pair of glasses from the glasses market aka Mingjingyuan Market (on the right before you turn to Panjiayuan). If you still have time to spare after that, go back to the Zhao Jia Chao Wei furniture market, which is just a one minute walk back toward the Jinsong subway station.
While you wait for the glasses to be made, it isusually about an hour.

Located between the Jinsong subway station at the end of Line 10 and the Panjiayuan area, the popular furniture market, Zhao Jia Chao Wei, has lots to offer. Besides classical Chinese furniture and more modern interpretations of classical furniture design, Tibetan furniture, red painted furniture and also traditional Chinese woolen and silk carpets from Kyrgyzstan, Kashgar and Kazahkstan can all be found in this market. Smaller pieces like porcelain, lamps, silk light shades, and knick-knacks for the house, candles, Chinese dinner sets, old photographs and paintings are all on offer.
Shops like Dynasty Antique Furniture Art Company are represented with a large outlet on the third floor, Shop 58. See shops like Chaoran selling classical colored and painted furniture, Tibetan furniture and drawings on the 2nd floor at Shop 19.
Moreover, beautiful silk lamps and light shades, along with furniture, Mao porcelain pieces and a wide range of furniture is available from Qian Chong Tang Classical Furniture shop--especially on the second floor. While there are a number of shipping companies available throughout China, Bellepack Beijing Transport has an office on the 3rd Floor for domestic and international shipping needs.
