This charming little pottery studio-cum-store, which features ceramics from talented localpotters, has solved many a gift-giver’s dilemma. The emphasis here is on contemporaryinterpretations of traditional ceramic forms (vases, plates, cups, urns, teapots). Many of thecreations are glazed with bold stripes or patterns, or cheeky images of Chairman Mao. Withnearly half the artists also teaching, inquire at the workshop if you’re interested in studyingceramics with the workshop. They have studios in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Jingdezhen (China’s ceramics capital) as well as the Beijing studio.
