Nearby the millennium ancient temple,SangyuVillageis hidden into the valleys and surrounded by the landscapes such as Lion Rock, Olecranon Rock and Tiger Head Rock and so on; these peaks are famous for their forms resembling sleeping lion, eagle’s beak and the tiger’s head. An access in the southwest is the only way to the outside world and it decorates the ancient village with a mysterious and peaceful atmosphere.
A decorated archway with the style of antique beauty burst into your eyes once entering the village, the narrow path gives off the fragrance of soil and the wall with the exposed metope was still painted the red slogan “defeat American imperialism”.
The most regular courtyard in the village is Zhu’s Grand Courtyard, which has five rooms from south to north, showing grandness for its stone gable and coping with ancient tiles. There is an old path in the north of the village, densely paved with white stone slabs and wriggling along the terrain, so it is easy to pull you into the image of trapping hoofs here of hundred years ago.
According to the villagers, theGuanghuiTemplelocated in the hillside northeast of the village is even older than theTanzheTemple, and still preserves mountain gate, courtyard wall,shading walls, main hall and west wind-room. The two ancient ginkgo trees with the diameter of about1mbecome a treasure to the temple.
