Outstanding Paintings Show Charm of Beijing

A children artwork competition themed “ Beijing Impression” was held few days, organized by Visit Beijing. Numerous excellent artworks were contributed during the competition which amazed the spectators. Some pictures were painted by watercolor while some were decorated with colorful papers. Some pictures showcased a concrete sign or scene of Beijing while some contained a group of representative architectures in Beijing. From these works, we could see a totally different image of Beijing in children’s eyes.

The Parterre in Tian’anmen Square, by Liu Chenxi, 4 years old

This picture showcases a scene as viewed from a 4-year-old girl. The yellow and red on the top represent the roof and the wall of Tian’anmen while the black represents the Chinese totem pillar.

The Most Beautiful City – Beijing, by Pei Qianle, 10 years old.

In this picture, we can see new highlights of Beijing such as a line of soldiers passing through Tian’anmen Square, shared-bikes, people from all over the world, modern architectures as well as Beihai Park.
