Capital International Airport has seen 90 million passengers

By December 14, the Beijing Capital International Airport has seen more than 90 million passengers in 2016, ranking the second in terms of passenger throughput among airports around the globe for the seventh consecutive year.

To ease the saturation, the Civil Aviation Administration of China made clear recently to perfect international aviation network at the Capital International Airport in ways of relocating its domestic air-hub function and promoting to construct bullet train network and terminal.

As Beijing adopted the 72-hour transit-without-visa policy, the airport has seen a 32-percent rise in international TWOV passengers this year, three times as high as the rise in domestic travelers. International travelers has accounted for 26 percent of the total passenger throughput.
