Bus lanes along the entire Third Ring Road and some sections of the Beijing-Tibet, Beijing-Hongkong-Macao express ways are put into overall use from October 10.

Routes of four bus lines of No. 74, No. 671, No. 503 and 特6, which run along the ring road, will be partly adjusted accordingly from side roads to main roads. The speed-up effort is expected to attract more people to choose public transport.

As the new bus lanes are put into use, Beijing has formed a fast commuting network that boasts 839- kilometer-long bus lanes.
