According to the company of the Beijing Subway system, the barriers-installing project finally started on April 25. And the first station along Line 1 to install the barrier was Nanlishilu Station. There are 10 stations to install barriers during the first period of the barriers-install project and the first period will be completed by 2017.

As the company said, the stations of Line 1 are not strong enough to afford the barriers due to the technical limitations when it was built. So, the stations have to be reinforced before the barriers are installed. As the first station to be reinforced, Nanlishilu Station had done its blueprint and started its construction. The experimental period is about 38 days.

As an old Line, Line 1 is difficult to install barriers because the construction includes all the directions including the architecture, structure, power supply, communication, signal department and so on.

It is said that, there are 23 stations along Line 1 and 10 of them will be installed with barriers during the first period and the other 13 stations will be done during the second period. And the whole project will be done by the end of 2017.
