For safety concerns, Ditan Temple Fair and Longtan Temple Fair will impose restrictions on tickets in 2016, the monkey year. 40% of the tickets can be pre-booked online from Jan 21.

The period of the temple fair will be shortened. It is said the temple fair will last only 5 days from Feb 8 to Feb 12.

There will be three areas to exhibit folk arts. 10 kinds of intangible cultural heritages will be exhibit in the north area including Beijing silk flowers, painting in snuff bottles, cloisonne production techniques and so on. As for pigeon whistle and other 3 intangible cultural heritages will show up in the south area.

There are also 7 traditional performance including Shanxi Opera, Huangmei Opera and other performances.
