October 2, the third day of this Tourism Festival, an activity with the theme of “Enjoy Ecological Travel, Sing Heart Out at Peach Blossom Garden” was launched in Weishanzhuang, Daxing District. Colorful activities including parade performances with a strong international style, large-scale performances brought by the community team as well as specially designed peach sending, etc. created an impression of eco-travel for the current Beijing International Tourism Festival.
Tourists and visitors had a taste of the international parade performances from around the world. There were popular shows like those with Eurasian style brought by Russia’s Samara Youth Troupe which was heavily influenced by "Kuibyshev Art Philosophy", the modern countryside dance performed by Germany’s Thuringia Cowboy Dance Group which is called "Western Europe Rock", the South American folk dance brought by the Bafuka Folk Dance Troupe who come from Chile, “the Kingdom of the World”, the unique dance performed by Castro’s National Dance Troupe who come from Italy, the cradle of European culture, the Scottish style dance brought by the Brenda Highland Dance Troupe, and the charming dancing and singing performed by Zulu Chorus who come from Cameroon which is called "Little Africa". All the performances triggered bursts of cheers and applause from the audiences.
In addition, the cultural groups of the local community in Daxing District also carried out a variety of performances, and they not only demonstrated the good spirit of the Beijing people but also expressed their hospitality as Beijingers.
It is worth mentioning that the activity coincided with the "Double Ninth Festival", a traditional Chinese festival of love and respect for the elders. The event organizers specially designed the part "Sending the Longevity Peach at Double Ninth Festival", and related leaders and officers of Beijing Municipal Tourism Committee as well as Tourism Committee of the Districts brought holiday greetings and good wishes for the elderly as the representatives, thanking for their hardworking and contribution to the development of the society. The event aimed to vigorously carry forward the traditional virtues of respecting the elderly and caring for the elderly of the Chinese nation.
Visitors and tourists said they felt the harmony in Beijing as a livable city in Daxing District. Moreover, a variety of themed tours including food culture tours, cultural creation tours, sightseeing experience tours and sports and leisure tours organized encouraged them to linger.
