The flowers have a history of more than 200 years. In 2018, the "Ancient Magnolia" was also named one of the "Top Ten Most Beautiful Trees in Beijing". The Empress Dowager Cixi was a lover of flowers and had planted magnolia trees all over the courtyard. When the flowers bloom, there is a "sea of fragrant snow".
