The Drum Tower is 46.7 meters in height, with two floors, triple eaves and gray tiles and is a brick and wood structure. There are 25 drums on the second floor of the Drum Tower, including 1 big drum (representing a year) and 24 group drums (representing the 24 solar terms), all of which are imitated according to the scale of drums in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty.
During the peak season, there are four drumming performances every day. Three drummers are dressed in distinctive ethnic costumes, and the majestic and powerful sound of the drums echoes through the main hall, which is quite stunning.
