The Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau presents a captivating new series of videos: "Beijing: More Than Meets the Eye". This series of vignettes combine Beijing's well-known tourist attractions and emerging cultural landmarks with young artists, musicians and performers. Together these combine to put Beijing tourism in a whole new light.

"A Hidden Gem In The City" is the third issue of a captivating series of videos "Beijing: More Than Meets the Eye" and in this video, you will find "small bridges, flowing water, and architecture" in Qianmen Sanlihe, the central area of Beijing. Next to the Former Residence of Mei Lanfang, Paint Assembly Hall, which was built in the Ming Dynasty, integrates the functions of offering sacrifices and watching operas. Bai Jin, a successor of Mei School and a young actress from Beijing Peking Opera Company, performed Mr. Mei Lanfang’s representative play "The Drunken Concubine". The lingering rhyme of Peking Opera makes the old guild hall flourish again.
