Running through the capital from north to south, Metro Line 19, the third subway line operated and managed by Beijing Railway Operation Company, is now open to the public.

1. Run from north to south

There are 6 stations in the initial operation. From south to north, they are Xingong Station, Xinfadi Station, Caoqiao Station, Niujie Station, Jishuitan Station, Mudanyuan Station, and there is a vehicle section in Xingong, Fengtai District.

2. Faster commuting

The first train departs from Xingong Station at 5:30 and the last train departs at 23:25. And the first train departs from Mudanyuan Station at 5:30 and the last train departs at 23:10. The interval between lines is 6 minutes during peak hours and 8 minutes during weekdays.

3. Operation mode of "large station and fast train"

Compared with most urban lines with 1.2 km station spacing and a maximum speed of 80 km/h, Metro Line 19 has an average station spacing of 2.3 km and can run at a maximum speed of 100 km/h. After the operation, it will be operated in the mode of "large station and fast train". It takes about 24 minutes for a one-way trip from Xingong to Mudanyuan, which saves about 30 minutes compared with the previous existing lines, meeting the demand of the public for fast commuting.

4. More convenient interchange

As a north-south high-capacity express and encrypted line through the downtown, its opening will provide new travel options for residents along the line. Among the six stations opened first, all of them are interchange stations except Xinfadi Station and Niujie Station.

Metro Line 19 connects with the existing Metro Line 2, Line 10, Line 4, Daxing Airport Line and many other lines to further improve passenger accessibility, greatly satisfying the travel needs of the public. Passengers can follow the signs inside the station to reach other lines through the interchange channel. The distance of the interchange channel at Xingong Station is only less than 30 meters, which can realize quick interchange to Metro Line 4 in a short time.

It is worth mentioning that Metro Line 19 realizes the interchange with Daxing Airport Line at Caoqiao Station, which will significantly shorten the time for residents to travel between Daxing International Airport. It effectively extends the service of the Daxing Airport Line to the important business district of the city center and adds a travel option for air passengers.

5. More comfortable ride

Metro Line 19 adopts the A-type 8-group train, which is round, simple and fashionable, and is nicknamed "Killer Whale Train". Its maximum passenger capacity is 3,456, which can "load" more people than ordinary trains.

In particular, the "Killer Whale Train" does not have a wall door that separates the cab from the passenger compartment but an open cab, which allows passengers to experience the unique experience of the driver's perspective in a safe manner. At the same time, the vehicle also has active obstacle detection, automatic monitoring of the bow network, signal interconnection and many other intelligent functions to ensure the safety of traffic.
