Located on Dashilar Commercial Street outside Qianmen in Beijing, Majuyuan is a well-known Chinese time-honored brand. Built in the 22nd year of Jiaqing (the Qing Dynasty) (1817), it has a history of 185 years. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, there was a saying in Beijing that "wear Majuyuan hat and wear Refosian clothes." It can be seen that Majuyuan's hat has a high status in people's minds. Its hats are famous for their exquisite materials, fine craft, genuine goods, complete varieties, and various colors.

After Ma Juyuan's death, none of his family went into business. Lord Zhang comforted the original workers, and Li Jianquan was the shopkeeper, following the name of Majuyuan. Li Jianquan expanded the store, and Majuyuan entered its heyday through the relationship of Lord Zhang. The main reason why Majuyuan Hat Shop is well-known in Beijing and is known as the top in the hat industry is that the hat is made of good materials and exquisite production technology. The main commodity of Majuyuan Hat Shop was melon skin hats worn by political dignitaries and rich gentry at that time.

After liberation, it was moved from Xianyukou to this site in 1958. After it was incorporated into Dongsheng Hat during the cultural revolution, it was changed to mainly operate hats for ethnic minorities. In 1986, it was restored to a time-honored brand and became the first hat shop for ethnic minorities in Beijing. Its main products are mainly men's and women's hats, leather hats, cotton hats, children's hats, hats for minority groups, and dance hats, 80 kinds in total. Soon, it was incorporated into Buyingzhai to continue its business.
