Introduction
China Bookstore, the largest state-owned antique bookstore in China, was established in 1952, including many well-known time-honored brands. After years of development and expansion, China Bookstore has made remarkable achievements. By collecting ancient and modern Chinese and foreign books, inscriptions, calligraphy, and paintings, it explores, rescues, protects, and disseminates the heritage of human civilization. Fifteen chain stores radiate the main commercial blocks in Beijing. Today, China Bookstore has become a comprehensive cultural enterprise with the diversified operation and industrial chain extensions, such as book publishing, distribution, auction, calligraphy, painting, and art sales. Story
China Bookstore has carried out fruitful excavation and rescue of ancient books, books, and periodicals. Also, these precious documents recording the wisdom of the sages are scientifically and systematically sorted and published to turn one into a hundred, one into a thousand and ten thousand.
As early as the 1950s, China Bookstore began to arrange ancient books, including the reproduction and publishment of ancient books, which was suspended during the "Cultural Revolution." In 1979, China Bookstore resumed the related job. In 1988, with the approval of the National Press and Publication Administration, China Bookstore Publishing House was officially incorporated into the publishing house management series, with the publication prefix number ISBN7-80568. Through the hard work of several generations, China Bookstore has successively sorted and published all kinds of new printed ancient books and more than 1600 books on research and introduction of traditional culture. It has also formed a publishing pattern with the characteristics of thread-bound new printed old books, the advantage of photocopying and reproduction, and the focus on the collation of classical literature books, the study of Beijing traditional culture, and edition bibliography.
