The National Center for the Performing Arts is both novel and avant-garde, with a unique design style that combines tradition and modernity, romance and reality. It is a huge silver building with a semi-ellipsoidal appearance, which is the largest dome in the world by far.

The theater is surrounded by a man-made lake. In the sunshine, the sky, the lake and the reflection mingle with each other. It is so bright and looks like a pearl on the lake from a distance. It is also so dazzling and like an extraterrestrial on the Chang’an Avenue. Stepping into it, it seems as if entering a crystal palace.
Entering the theater, you will be attracted immediately by the magnificent layout. The curved roof hangs over a marble floor. These marble, from all over the country, are colorful. Some of them look like a white floret, and some look like the sunset glow on the horizon. What a beautiful land!

The steel beams on the walls are neatly fitted with numerous Burgundy wooden planks. Steep yourself in it, it is aurally comfortable. Just like walking into the quiet woods, there is less the hustle and bustle of the city, more a calm. You can't help but admire the ingenuity of the designer. How comfortable it is to enjoy the wonderful music in such a place like fairyland!
