In Beijing, the most pleasant place must be those hutongs. Today, I make a list of several high-quality hutongs in Beijing.

Qianjing Hutong

Qianjing Hutong, located near Shichahai area, was Puyi's temporary residence in the past. Although Puyi lived in this alley for a short time and soon moved away, the bricks and tiles here are printed with traces of history.

Zongbu Hutong

Zongbu Hutong is an old hutong with a history of hundreds of years. Now the hutong consists of two parts: West Zongbu Hutong and East Zongbu Hutong. Not far from East Zongbu Hutong, there is a north-south alley, which is North Zongbu Hutong.

In 1931, Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin lived in North Zongbu Hutong, which became the famous "wife's living room."

Wudaoying Hutong

In Wudaoying Hutong, there are leisure tourists and professional investment shopkeepers. Many foreigners love Beijing's Hutong Culture, so most residents in the hutong are foreigners. The vegetarian restaurant, the creative shop, the quiet café, or the exquisite handicraft shop can be seen everywhere in this alley.

Dongjiaominxiang Hutong

It used to be a famous embassy area and was rated as "the most beautiful Western hutong in Beijing" by many people. With luxuriant green trees and a large lush lawn on both sides of the alley, it is a rare quiet place within the Second Ring Road.

It bears too much history here. The exotic buildings formed by historical factors are unique, in sharp contrast to the magnificent palaces and simple traditional houses in Beijing.
