Fuyang River originates from the south foot of Fushan Mountain in the Fengfeng mining area, with 413 kilometers along. It is a natural river with water all year round in Handan City, which is very rare in northern cities of China. Fuyang River, with a history of more than 1,500 years, is the only natural flowing long river in Handan City.

In 2020, Fengfeng Fuyang River National Wetland Park passed the acceptance and officially became a national wetland park. Fuyang River Wetland Park takes "man and nature" as the theme to restore and protect the ecological environment of Fuyang River. The park is mainly used to supply water and provide habitat for wild animals and plants, better protect and restore the Fuyang River wetland ecosystem, protect water sources, and inherit and carry forward Fuyang River's long-standing wetland ecological culture.

Relevant departments of the Fengfeng mining area have built parks, dams, and other facilities on the Fuyang River, forming more than 16,000 square meters of water surface and 3,000 square meters of protected wetlands. It provides habitats for fish and tiny aquatic organisms and builds an ecosystem with a complete food chain.

Meanwhile, Fuyang River culture and the ancient culture of villages and towns have been deeply excavated in the area, creating a series of high-quality scenic spots and forming Fuyang River Ecological Water Conservancy Scenic Spot with urban river and lake characteristics. The Fuyang River Basin has lush trees and beautiful scenery. The number and species of wild animals and plants breeding and inhabiting here have increased significantly.
