Linglong Pagoda, formerly known as Yongan Wanshou Pagoda, is located in Xibalizhuang, near the Kunyu River in Beijing. It was originally built in Cishou Temple, also known as "Cishou Temple Tower". It has a history of more than 400 years. It was one of Beijing's most splendid buildings.
In October 1957, Linglong Pagoda was designated as one of the first key cultural relics to be protected in Beijing. Because it is the representative of Ming dynasty single-story dense eave tower, whichis built in imitation of Beijing Tianning Temple tower, and is called "sister tower" together with Tianning Temple tower. In the north of the Linglong Pagoda, there are two stone tablets from the Wanli period. On the left, it is the Statue of The Zizhu Guanyin (also known as the Statue of Jiulian Bodhisattva), and on the right, it is the statue of the Yulan Guanyin and Guan Di.
In 1990, the Government of Haidian District built Linglong Park with Linglong Tower as the center, covering an area of about 7 hectares (including 0.3 hectares of water surface). The southern part of the park is designed as a regular garden, and the northern part is a natural landscape, among which there are mountain pavilions, lakes, winding paths and streams, making it a beautiful scenery beside the Jingmi diversion canal.
