Basic Information:

There are around 70,000 taxis going in and around Beijing, which are well-managed and reasonably priced. The taxi volume in Beijing could basically meet the transportation meet. But at peak hours, it could be difficult to hail a taxi on the streets; therefore, more and more people tend to order a taxi in advance.

Beijing Taxi Charges:

Daytime: 5:00 - 23:00

Fares:RMB 13 (within 3 km)

RMB 2.3 charged for additional 1km after 3 km

RMB 3.45 charged for additional 1 km after 15 km

Mid-night: 11:00 pm - 05:00 am

Fares:RMB 14.4 (within 3 km)

RMB 2.76 charged for additional 1 km after 3 km

RMB 4,14 charged for additional 1 km after 15 km

Booking Call:

You can call the taxi company to book a taxi in advance before your journey so that your taxi driver can wait for you at designated location and required time.

Gentle Reminder:

1.Don’t hail a cab at a crossroad, as taxi driver are not allowed to stop cars within 30 meters from an intersection to pick up passengers.

2.Smoking is banned in all Beijing taxis.

3.Most taxi drivers may not speak English, so please keep the address card from your hotel or ask the hotel staff to write the address in Chinese and then show it to the driver.

How to hail a taxi in Beijing:

1.Hail a taxi by hand signal

Stand by roadside or at a designated taxi stand and wave your hand when a cab approaches. Remind: avoid hailing a cab at intersections, the Ring Roads, urban expressways and highways.
