Introduction to Shidu Scenic Area

Located in the southwest of Fangshan District, Beijing, Shidu Scenic Area is the only large-scale karst landform in northern China. Shidu Scenic Area is a river valley formed by the Juma River, a tributary of the Daqing River, cutting through the northern end of the Taihang Mountains, with a total length of about 20 kilometers. Since there are a total of ten ferry crossings across the Reanma River in this valley in history, it is named "Shidu". The excursions of the Shidu are mainly concentrated in the Sixth Ferry ( Gushan Village ), the Ninth Ferry ( Juma Paradise ), the Fifteenth Ferry ( East Lake Port ), the Seventeenth Ferry ( Wild Battle in Dadongou ), and the Nineteenth Ferry ( First Drift on the Juma River ).

Sixth Ferry (Gushan Village)

It is strictly not only a fortress or a mountain, named because of three isolated peaks. This is the most famous grand canyon in Shidu Scenic Area, about 10 kilometers deep, which is picturesque in all seasons. Both sides of the canyon are full of peaks and jagged rocks. The narrowest part of the canyon is only 5 meters, with rich vegetation and beautiful scenery. There is the longest iron rope bridge in the suburbs of Beijing, as well as the thousand-year-old riverbed, the thousand-year-old vine, and the waterfall group in the Wild Man Valley.

Jiudu (Juma Paradise)

Juma Paradise is a water park located near the town of Shidu. It includes very challenging water games such as cable car, bungee jumping, trapeze, airbus, etc. Of course, there are also leisurely entertainment items such as bamboo rafts, speedboats and pedal boats. It can be said that there are all kinds of water sports here. Not only that, but the scenery here is also the most beautiful in the whole scenic area. On both sides are steep cliffs, and in the middle flows the nearly dried up Juma quietly. What people usually call the Shidu, in fact, refers to Jidu - Juma Paradise.

Fifteenth Ferry (Donghugang)

Donghugang Natural Scenic Area is located in Shidu Scenic Spot (Fifteen Ferry). It is adjacent to Yesanpo and has the reputation of "Sandalwood Oxygen Bar". Entering the scenic spot via the iron rope bridge, the emerald green sandalwood forest and the winding thousand-year-old vines spread throughout the canyon, which is ancient and mysterious. At the unique "Three Fold Waterfall", the waterfalls in three stacks. The "First Ladder in North China" is a treacherous project, with the beauty of "climbing up the ladder and viewing the mountains". Echo Wall Waterfall is one of the famous landscapes in Donghugang, with a waterfall that leaks straight to the bottom of the pool, and the water is fierce. The area is rich in natural resources and has a wide variety of flora and fauna.

Seventeen Ferry ( Field Battle Dadongou )

Shiqidu, a small mountain village with only a dozen families. Field Battle Dadonggou is currently the best real CS base in Shidu. The guns here are the latest M16 and M4, and the battle terrain includes the Grand Canyon, Gobi Beach, forts, poplar forests, villages, etc. The Grand Canyon of Shidu--Dadonggou is an original grand canyon with scenery not inferior to that of Donghugang and Gushan Village. The canyon is a natural battlefield with strange peaks and rocks, sandalwood forest and wild grapevines densely covered.

Nineteenth Ferry (the first rafting on the Juma River)

Wolf Tooth River rafting is located at the junction of Shidu and Yesanpo, with a total length of 3.5 kilometers, dozens of rapids and beautiful scenery on both sides. Wolf Tooth River rafting starts at Beiyu Village in Yesanpo and ends at Wolf Tooth River, which is the first rafting on the Juma River. At present, the Wolf Tooth River rafting has been renamed as - the nineteenth drift in the west of Beijing.

By car: Take the No. 7 train at Beijing South Railway Station and get off at Shidu Station; take bus No.917 at Tianqiao and get off at Shidu directly; on public holidays, take tourist bus No. 10 from Qianmen, Fuchengmen and Xuanwumen to reach Shidu.

By car: From Liulihe Exit of Beijing-Shi Expressway - Liulihe - Yue Li Road - Yue Gezhuang - Yunju Temple Road - Zhou Zhang Road - Zhang Bao Road - Shidu.
