The sacred way of the Ming Tombs, also known as the sacred way of Changling, is the leading part of the construction of Changling Mausoleum. The total length is about 7.3km. In the Ming Dynasty, from south to north, there were stone memorial archway, Sankong bridge, big red gate, holy power steles pavilion, stone statue, Lingxingmen, Nanwukong bridge, Qikong bridge, Beiwukong bridge and a series of shrine tomb facilities and bridge and culverts. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty and completed in the 19th year of Jiajing (1540). Now in addition to the bridge and culvert buildings have been damaged, other tomb facilities are well preserved. From 1989 to 1995, the Office of the Ming Tombs Special Zone carried out three large-scale protection and environmental renovation projects on the sacred way.
