4. Wild Duck Lake

Wild Duck Lake is located in the northwest of Yanqing District, Beijing. It is adjacent to Yanshan Mountain Range in the north, Taihang Mountain Range in the south, Huailai County in Hebei Province in the southwest, and Badaling Great Wall in the southeast. The lake is a constructed wetland composed by the Yanqing District part of Guanting Reservoir and the inundated area and tidal flat around the lake below 479 meters above sea level. It is the only wetland bird nature reserve in Beijing. After more than 50 years of development, it has formed a wetland ecosystem with rich animal and plant resources, and high biodiversity and stability. It has become one of the important bird habitats in Beijing and even North China.

5. Pearl Lake

Pearl Lake is a lake formed by the construction of Zhuwo Reservoir in Yongding River. It is named for the large number of mussels growing in the lake. The mountains on both sides of the lake are steep. In summer and autumn, the banks are covered with moss and the wild flowers are in full bloom. The lake water is clear and calm as a mirror. The beautiful scenery composed of blue sky, white clouds, mountains and tree shadows is just like a natural landscape painting.
