WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne is an excellent orchestra of the biggest broadcasting company called West DeutscherRundfunk in central Europe.

Leading members of WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne regularly play and record chamber music. The orchestra has its own chamber music subscription series in the concert hall of the WDR broadcasting house. All the concerts are recorded and broadcast by the classical music radio channel WDR 3.

The WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne chamber music players are planning to stage and record Brahms’ Sextetts and Quintetts, after the great success with all the symphonies by Johannes Brahms under chief conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste at the Beijing Music Festival in October 2015.
