Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian

Located in Zhoukoudian Town, Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing, Zhoukoudian Ruins Museum is a museum of ancient human remains, which was founded in 1953. The site is about 48 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing. It is a world-famous archaeological site of ancient human and vertebrate and the birthplace of "Peking Man".

Yunju Temple, the holy land of Buddhism

Yunju Temple is located in Shuitou Village, Dashiwo Town, Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing, 70 kilometers away from the city center, covering an area of more than 70000 square meters. Yunju Temple was first built in A.D. 605-618 in 1400. It was originally named "Zhiquan Temple" and later renamed "Yunju Temple". It was destroyed by Japanese artillery in 1940s. After liberation, it was repaired twice on a large scale. Yunju Temple is a national 4A scenic spot and a national key cultural relic protection unit.

Shidu Scenic Spot of National Geopark

Located in the southwest of Fangshan District, Beijing, Shidu Scenic Spot is the only large-scale karst landform in northern China. Shidu Scenic Spot is China's national AAAA scenic spot and China's National Geopark. On September 17, 2006, UNESCO officially authorized the Fangshan World Geopark in China and branded it.

Fangshan World Geopark Museum, China

Fangshan World Geopark Museum is located in Changgou Town, Fangshan District, Beijing. Changgou Town is the core area of China's Fangshan World Geopark. This geological museum is the landmark building of China's Fangshan World Geopark. Built in 2009, it is the first world-class geological museum in China.

Baihua Mountain

Baihua Mountain Scenic Spot is located in Shijiaying Township, Fangshan District, Beijing, 110 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing. It is located at the north end of Taihang Mountain. It is 1991 meters above sea level. It is known as the "garden of God."

Shangfangshan National Forest Park

Shangfangshan National Forest Park is a national 3A scenic spot. It is located in Hancunhe Town, Fangshan District, Beijing, about 60 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing. There are 99 species of protected animals in Shangfangshan area. Shangfangshan has a total area of 329.3 hectares, with a total area of 3.53 square kilometers. It has the only well preserved primary secondary forest in North China, with a forest coverage rate of more than 90%.

Beijing Shihuadong National Geopark

Beijing Shihuadong National Geopark is located in Nancheying Village, Hebei Town, Fangshan District, Beijing, 55 kilometers away from the capital. At present, all the first and second floors and parts of the third and fourth floors are open to the public, with a tour length of 2500 meters.

Donghu Port

Donghu Port Scenic Spot is located in Shidu Park, a world geopark in Fangshan Beijing. Adjacent to Yesanpo, it is 106 km away from the urban area. In the scenic area, green woods and winding vines are all over the canyon, and clear streams flow at the foot, which is quite poetic. The peculiar waterfall, with a drop of 115 meters, hangs on the cliff like the Milky Way. With more than ten landscapes, Donghu Port is a national AAAA scenic spot.
