China National Film Museum is a landmark building commemorating the 100th anniversary of Chinese film, and it is the largest national film museum in the world. There are 21 exhibition halls and public activities and exhibition areas, which present the history of film development and reveal the mystery of film-making.

Visitors can experience the changing life of small farmhouses in the northern region; feel the effect of speeding trains via screen synthesis; experience the shooting process and effect of digital stunt synthesis by driving a prop motorcycle; enter the animation world by touching via 3D and AR technology; wear VR equipment to be an astronaut and sit in a "spacecraft" to complete their own space adventure journey. There is also the IMAX giant screen.

Exhibition Hall

Film Art Exhibition Hall

Film Art Exhibition Hall includes the preface hall and the exhibition hall from No. 1 to No. 10. It presents the history of the film invention, the birth of the Chinese film, the development of the Chinese film, the development of the art film, scientific film, children’s film and other kinds of films.

Film Technique Exhibition Hall

Film Technique Exhibition Hall includes the hall from No. 11 to No. 20. It mainly shows the film techniques including special effects, film editing, film animation, film music making and other techniques.

The Projector Room

The Projector Room is mainly used to show the film. People can enjoy different movies in this exhibition hall.
