The "Selected Works of Ancient Jade Art" focuses on the historical development of jade relics to reveal. According to the current state of academic research on jade relics and combined with specific artifacts, the exhibition is arranged and assembled from the time of jade craft development vertically, as well as horizontally for different types of jade, showing the basic lineage of jade development to the audience, reflecting the craft characteristics of different periods of jade development.

The exhibition is divided into three parts, exhibiting 181 components of artifacts. Among the exhibits are a large number of jade pieces excavated from the tombs of princes and nobles, as well as jade pieces bearing the emperor's reign mark and inscribed with imperial poems, highlighting the cultural characteristics of Beijing as a capital city. At the same time, in line with the principle of people-oriented, the exhibition has set up a "list of major jade materials in ancient China" and a schematic diagram of the usage of some jade objects to help visitors understand the content of the exhibition. The design is divided into a static exhibition area and a dynamic exhibition area. In order to highlight the jade artifacts, the lighting is directed by point source lighting to reproduce the warm beauty of jade artworks, and the color temperature is based on the standard of restoring the real color.
