This album uses traditional landscape painting techniques, with the rocks outlined in ink and colored in ochre and green and fine dots of moss added. The flowers and trees are mostly colored with ink, elegant and lush.

The pavilions and other buildings are presented from an overlooking angle, and the scale of the temporary palaces and the structure of the houses are finely drawn. The album also contains features of jiehua, a Chinese painting technique used to depict architectural forms with the aid of a ruler.
