Peking Opera is always loved by Chinese and Westerners, for it is an art which impresses you all the time. But it is not an easy business for its actors, for it includes singing, dancing, dialogue and acrobatic skills, all of which tell you a vivid story or present different ancient heroes or bad guys or even common people. It also shows you their feelings of happiness, anger, sorrow, surprise, fear and sadness.

In Peking opera there are four main types of roles: sheng (male), dan (young female), jing (painted face, male), and chou (clown, male or female). The characters may be loyal or treacherous, beautiful or ugly, good or bad, their images being vividly presented. But anyway you will enjoy it a lot.
