Juyongguan Pass, one of the three greatest mountain passes of the Great Wall of China, is embraced with overlapping ranges of mountains, lush trees and blooming mountain flowers. The appealing scenery of "Juyong Diecui" (gorgeous landscape in Juyong Pass) was listed as one of the "Eight Great Sights of Beijing" as far back as the Jin Dynasty, almost 800 years ago. In spring, the pass is bedecked with flowers stretching over ten li (500 meters).
