Yanqing line of Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway is officially launched since Dec. 1, allowing you to travel to Badaling Great Wall from downtown Beijing in about 30 minutes.

Beijing-Zhangjiakou High Speed Railway Yanqing Branch Line and the new station building of Yanqing Station are both in operation now. At the same time, the S2 line of the Beijing suburban railway will also resume operations at Yanqing station.

Yanqing Branch Line connects Badaling Great Wall Station with Beijing's Yanqing District, one of the three competition zones for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. It has a total length of 9.33 km, with a design speed of 160 km/h.

From now on, if you want to go to Badaling Great Wall from downtown, in addition to taking the S2 suburban railway from Huoying Metro Station, you can also choose the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway (Yanqing Branch Line) from Beijing North Railway Station at Xizhimen, which takes about half an hour.

In addition, the tickets are of good price. It only costs you as little as 35 RMB and 40 minutes from Beijing North Railway Station to Yanqing Station, and 26 RMB and 26 minutes from Qinghe Station to Yanqing Station.
