Each indoor garden covering an area of 50 to 300 m square meters shall display the latest horticulture development and achievements, including typical and selected varieties of plants, gardening techniques, facilities and equipment.

The organizer will also present large-scale flower landscape layout, technological achievements of horticulture, and life gardening (fruits and vegetables, flowers, tea and traditional Chinese medicines). International horticulture competitions will also be held during the exhibition session.

Themed "Live Green, Live Better," the Beijing Expo 2019 aims to integrate horticulture in daily life and connect one's soul with nature.

The Beijing Expo will bring the very best of past International horticultural exhibitions together and display the finest horticultural works worldwide. It will also demonstrate China's contribution to the world horticulture with its great variety of plants that have been introduced to the world over the past 2000 years. Exhibition of horticultural products from different times and places is made possible through wide application of the latest scientific and technological achievements.

Emblem and Mascots

The emblem of Beijing Expo 2019 is the "Flower of the Great Wall." With six petals of different colours surrounding the Great Wall, it illustrates an "international horticultural exhibition at the foot of the Great Wall."

Mascots of Beijing Expo 2019 are dubbed "Little Bud" and "Little Flower," a brother and a sister. They symbolise life, hope, diligence and beauty. They are inspired by the traditional Chinese painting Baizi tu ("painting of a hundred sons"). With unique headwear, costumes, and stage props, they take on the mission of popularising horticulture and green ideas.
